Soon valley a one day trip in Punjab
The biggest problem most friends face when they come to Soon valley is the lack of information. Keeping this issue in mind, I try to provide as much information as possible. God willing, Soon valley is located in Khushab District of Punjab, whose tehsil is Nowshera, which is the central location of the valley. If you travel from Islamabad or Lahore with your family and friends, it is a three-hour journey via Kallar kahar Motorway Interchange.
Local vehicles also come to Wadi (valley) Soon via the same route which will be available to you from Badami Bagh base in Lahore and Pir Wadhai base in Rawalpindi. Those coming from Faisalabad can also visit the Kallar kahar Motorway Interchange. For bikers, they can cross the Chiniot, Sargodha, Khushab and Katha hills from Faisalabad and enter the valley.
From all these routes you will enter the Soon valley via Peel Chowk and Jaba village. These two villages are the main gateway to the Soon valley while Jaba village is also the headquarters of Soon valley which is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The team organizes camping and cultural events on a non-profit basis at these natural sites. now a day it is become popular tourist place, many tour operator organize one and two day trip event in soon valley.
If you have a plan of 1 day trip to Soon valley and if you reach Wadi Soon tehsil Nowshera by 8 am, you can easily cover three to four points with family or friends. Khabikki Lake is 30 minutes away from Jabba Shah where boating and resort facilities are provided by the tourism department. it is lies in Khabeki village, a hotel and a private rest house are also located on the main road.
The Kanhati(Kanhatti/Kenhatti) Garden and water stream is a 30-minute drive from Khabikki/khabaiki jheel/lake , which is connected by a link road before entering Khabikki. This British-era garden is considered to be the most scenic spot in the Golden Valley with a variety of fruit trees, springs and waterfalls. This place is perfect for Picnic and cooking your own food. Besides, you can take a bath here by wearing a life jacket. Bathing here without a life jacket is no less dangerous as the water depth is fifteen to twenty feet.
After spending the day in the beauty of Kanhati Bagh(Garden) and its surroundings, you should return to Khabikki from one to two o'clock in the afternoon and from there start your journey towards Nowshera Tehsil Uchalli Lake in Uchhali village. The entire journey from Kanhati Bagh takes about two hours.
You can have lunch at Khabiki also spell Khabikki/khabaiki or at hotels in Tehsil Nowshera. If you traveling Uchalli Lake in early, on the way a path near Kufri village turns towards the Daep Sharif chashma/stream. Visit it, there is a big pound of water and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Be very careful in this water and go inside without a life jacket.
then continue drive from 4 to 5 pm you will reach Uchhali/Uchalli Lake where you will be greeted by guest birds from Siberia in winter. Boating is also available here. It is the largest lake in the Soon valley Punjab. The sounds of birds at sunset, the silence of the lake and the redness of the sky create a magical atmosphere.
You can return to your destination in the evening or later. if you like for planning 2 day trip then continue journey driving to one more destination of Khushab District, on the border of Soon valley Sakesar 1,552 m. It is the most beautiful hill station and highest peak in Khushab District and highest point of Salt range. it is another tourist attraction point in Khushab District
